BFGoodrich Tires, maker of The World's Hottest Street Tires (TM) has created an equally hot, custom-built Ford Mustang GT as the grand prize in a nationwide sweepstakes. BFGoodrich's "World's Hottest Mustang," was created by world-class car designer Chip Foose star of The Learning Channel's "Rides" and"Overhaulin'" and built by Dallas-based Unique Performance.
Beginning Aug. 20, the head-turning Mustang will be on display atDetroit's world-famous Woodward Dream Cruise enthusiast event.Sweepstakes registration is open to all those who visit the BFGoodricharea, located at the Woodward Hunter Shell on the east side of WoodwardAvenue between 13 and 14 Mile Road. A show-car quality paint job and custom interior with sport seats anddoor inserts help give the Mustang its aggressive, yet refined look. The vehicle will roll in style with Foose-designed 20-inch aluminumwheels and 20-inch BFGoodrich(R) g-Force T/A(R) KDW ultra-high performancetires.
Under the hood, the World's Hottest Mustang will be powered by 4.6-literV-8 engine, equipped with a Supercharger System, fuel system upgrades,tuning software, charge cooler, supercharger oil feed and a compressorbypass valve. The upgrades will provide 462 horsepower, 50 percent morepower than a stock 2005 Mustang GT.
The Mustang will feature heavy-duty boxed subframe connectors, front andrear coil springs, special six-piston front brakes, high-flow catbackexhaust and other additions to ensure maximum performance andreliability.
For recreation, the vehicle will be equipped with a custom audioentertainment system, complete with a touchscreen stereo and navigationsystem, amplifiers, speakers, subwoofers and tweeters.
"I wanted to create a Mustang that would push the envelope to the veryedge in terms of style and function," said Foose. "This GT candefinitely back its claim as the world's hottest, and I'm glad one luckywinner will have a chance to take it home."
